The fact that you can’t raise taxes on billionaires even slightly without them pouring money into fascist political movements is, of itself, evidence that billionaires as a class shouldn’t be allowed to exist in the first place.

That and their whole “raise the minimum wage even a little bit and we’ll purposefully go out of our way to vindictively destroy the working class via outsourcing and automation.” I dont know why conservatives bow to this like its something necessary that just happens or even worse good. Its not some natural law. Its an active threat made by the bourgeoisie against the rest of us that reads “back off the wealth we’ve stolen from you or else”. Instead of kowtowing to these threats we should do the sensible thing and facilitate their demise. Because God knows they’re busy trying to facillitate ours
